Kitsune: The Journey of Adashino, a Japanese Folklore Action-Adventure, Set to Release in Spring 2027

Publishers room6 and yokaze, alongside developer Rias, have announced that 3D action-adventure Kitsune: The Journey of Adashino will launch in spring 2027 for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.

Inspired by Japanese folklore, Kitsune‘s story takes place on Adashino Island during the night of the Jugoya harvest festival, following a fox girl named Kitsune and her frog companion as they navigate a dark world illuminated only by glowing torii gates and neon signs.

On one hand, you explore the island and light shrines to open new paths, while on the other, you face intense chases where you must use limited bursts of light to temporarily blind pursuing Oni demons before finding cover.
