Pixelated Milk has launched a public Steam playtest for SacriFire, its upcoming retro-inspired RPG arriving later this year on PC.

Open to all Steam users, the playtest covers the opening act through the first major dungeon, featuring overhauled combat mechanics, a larger skill tree, Motoi Sakuraba’s soundtrack, and an exclusive companion pet reward for defeating the playtest’s final boss.
Channeling classic 90s JRPGs through hand-drawn 2D pixel-art characters set inside modern 3D environments, SacriFire follows Ezekiel Ridan, a young priest caught in a war between gods and demons that spans the subterranean city of Antioch and the spirit paradise of Erebus. The title blends real-time movement with turn-based strategy, where time moves only when you act – allowing you to string together weapon combos, dodge attacks, and deploy companion skills.
SacriFire launches in 2026 for PC via Steam.
