DaRmaZat Pearl Abyss has officially announced Charting the Unknown, the upcoming expansion for open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert. Scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, for $24.99, the paid expansion expands the continent of Pywel into uncharted oceanic waters and introduces deep narrative chapters.
The expansion allows players to command their own vessel and set sail across the ocean to explore uncharted islands, sunken ruins, and underwater treasures.
Beyond naval exploration and aquatic combat threats, Charting the Unknown updates the game’s life-simulation mechanics with an expanded housing customization mode, facility management features, and new community bonding systems. Narrative additions follow Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane as they navigate political conflict, ancient underwater secrets, and mysterious desert phenomena.
