Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen has received a four-minute gameplay overview trailer ahead of its October 9 launch, showing how the expansion’s new Relic Expeditions work. A free update for the base game is also now available, adding frame rate improvements, extra save slots, and more weapon skill slots.

The upcoming expansion takes the Arisen to Norgan, a frozen wilderness centered around the Norgandian Settlement, the last safe haven in the region. Beyond its walls, you’ll head into dangerous territory in search of ancient relics, facing enemies including Beorcan warriors, the Norgan Giant, and the ice dragon Fimbl.
Not every relic has to be fought for, though. Some can be found by searching abandoned ruins, while the settlement’s direwolf Freki can point you towards hidden artifacts in exchange for payment. Bring what you find back to Jiera, the settlement’s matron, and she’ll appraise the relics. Their rarity determines what you can get from them, ranging from improved weapon and armor stats to new abilities and refinements for both the Arisen and their Pawn.
Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen launches on October 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. On Nintendo Switch 2, it will be available as a complete release, while existing platforms will receive the expansion as downloadable content.
