Developer Sirens Team has released a seven-minute official gameplay showcase for Sirens, an atmospheric underwater exploration game featuring home base customization, dynamic marine ecosystems, and evolving combat mechanics. Alongside the gameplay debut, the studio announced that an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign will launch soon to support further development.

The newly revealed gameplay highlights the title’s dual-character evolutionary lore, contrasting deep-sea and shallow-water adaptations. Players meet Nyr, a pale, tentacled mermaid built for deep-ocean survival, alongside Lyra, a shallow-water species with human-like features and a serpent-like tail evolved during the Golden Age of Piracy.
While Nyr serves as a silent guardian healing the environment and discovering stories via floating bottles and altars, mermaids can also briefly crawl onto land to discover secret passages, interact with terrestrial wildlife, and uncover hidden shrines. Exploration is further supported by an in-game collectible system where inspecting marine figurines unlocks documentary-style videos detailing real-world ocean life.
Sirens comes to Steam via Early Access, with a release date yet to be announced.
