Developer Team Clout, in collaboration with co-developer and publisher Mundfish, has announced that the first-person survival horror game ILL will officially launch in 2027. The project is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, marking its first major public presentation since mid-2025.

The narrative-driven game is set within a massive, isolated research fortification where a cataclysmic event has unleashed biological entities known as Aberrations. Players step into the role of a protagonist who must navigate the infected complex to halt the outbreak and uncover the underlying cause of the catastrophe.
Drawing heavily from Team Clout’s creative background in the film industry – with team members contributing to horror productions like Longlegs, Azrael, V/H/S/Beyond, and IT: Welcome to Derry – the title focuses on photorealistic cinematic depth, environmental storytelling, and intense body horror.
ILL‘s gameplay functions as an uncompromising, resource-scarce survival experience. While a standard arsenal of firearms is present, ammunition is highly restricted, forcing players to rely on tactical environmental scanning and improvised melee combat. Players can physically interact with their surroundings to survive, such as tearing degradable pipes from walls to use as clubs or throwing loose bricks to temporarily stun targets.
Combat scenarios in ILL highlight a physics-based weapon handling model paired with an advanced real-time dismemberment system, where erratic enemy behavior dynamically changes based on sustained bodily damage across both claustrophobic interior corridors and open exterior yards.
