The consequence-heavy noir action game Samson: A Tyndalston Story launches April 8 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as announced by developer Liquid Swords.

Set in the unforgiving city of Tyndalston, the game follows Samson McCray, a man trapped beneath a mounting debt that grows heavier by the day. Survival is not just about winning fights, but about staying ahead of a system designed to suffocate him. Time is an enemy, interest never stops accumulating, and every decision carries tangible repercussions that shape how the city reacts.
The experience is built around constant pressure. Each in-game day provides a limited reserve of Action Points, forcing players to carefully choose which jobs to take and which risks to embrace. Standing still is not an option, as debt escalates relentlessly. The structure creates a forward-driving loop where momentum matters and hesitation can be as dangerous as a bullet.
Combat is grounded and physical, favoring intensity over spectacle. Encounters are designed to feel dangerous and deliberate, reinforcing the game’s noir tone. Violence is not treated as empowerment but as a calculated tool within a hostile environment. Tyndalston itself behaves like a living system, tracking player behavior and shifting in response, ensuring that relationships, factions, and circumstances evolve alongside Samson’s choices.
Founded by Christofer Sundberg, Liquid Swords brings together developers whose past work helped define large-scale action experiences. With Samson: A Tyndalston Story, the studio delivers a more contained, character-focused narrative shaped by systemic design and high-stakes decision-making.
