The anime-inspired life and farming simulation Starsand Island will enter Early Access on February 11 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with a full release planned for this summer on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, developer Seed Sparkle Lab has announced.

Originally scheduled for a full launch in early February, the shift to an Early Access rollout reflects a strategic decision by the studio to further refine the game’s scope and end-game content. According to Seed Sparkle Lab, this period will be used to polish systems, expand features, and integrate community feedback before the complete experience becomes available across all platforms. Multiplayer functionality is planned exclusively for the full release and will not be available during Early Access.
Set on a tranquil island shaped by creativity, coexistence, and everyday rituals, Starsand Island blends farming, ranching, exploration, crafting, and social simulation into a relaxing pastoral experience. The Early Access version is designed to offer a substantial portion of the overall game, with more than 100 hours of content covering the core activities that define island life. Players can tend farms, raise animals, explore diverse environments, fish, craft, and gradually shape their surroundings at their own pace.
A strong emphasis is placed on personalization and expression, with flexible building tools allowing players to design homes and environments that reflect their own style. Relationships with island residents play a key role in progression, as daily interactions unlock character-driven narratives and deepen the sense of community. Animal companions grow alongside the player, while additional systems such as music performance and cultural dance actions add expressive, creative layers to daily life on the island.
Visually, Starsand Island adopts a storybook-inspired aesthetic, using soft lighting and detailed environments to create a warm and calming atmosphere. The world is further enriched through crossover content, building on previous collaborations and introducing new characters and locations during Early Access.
