Turn-based tactical RPG Front Mission 3: Remake will launch on January 30, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and GOG, publisher Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio announced. A playable demo is available now across all platforms, allowing players to sample the modernized version ahead of release.

Originally released on Nintendo Switch in June 2025, Front Mission 3: Remake expands its reach with a full multi-platform launch, bringing one of the most beloved entries in the mech-focused RPG series to a wider audience. Set in a near-future world dominated by geopolitical tension and military technology, the game places players in command of powerful Wanzers as global conspiracies begin to surface.
The story follows Kazuki Takemura and his friend Ryogo as a seemingly ordinary delivery spirals into a large-scale conflict involving secret weapons, corporate ambition, and international power struggles. Early in the narrative, players make a pivotal decision that branches the campaign into two distinct storylines, each offering different characters, motivations, and perspectives on the unfolding crisis. Whether aligning with Kazuki’s sister Alisa or joining intelligence operative Emma Klamsky, both paths explore themes of loyalty, family, and the moral consequences of advanced warfare technology.
Front Mission 3‘s gameplay centers on methodical, turn-based battles where positioning, loadouts, and squad composition are critical to survival. The remake updates the original experience with improved visuals and smoother animations, while preserving the tactical depth the series is known for. Music has been reorchestrated to complement the refreshed presentation, and Wanzer customization has been expanded with new camouflage options that allow players to personalize their units on the battlefield. A newly added Quick Combat mode also offers a more streamlined way to jump directly into battles.
