Echoes of the End, a cinematic third-person action-adventure game from developer Myrkur Games and publisher Deep Silver, will release on August 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The announcement comes alongside a 17-minute extended gameplay trailer, showcasing its rich storytelling and magical combat.

Set in a deeply atmospheric fantasy world inspired by the landscapes of Iceland, Echoes of the End follows the emotional journey of Ryn, a powerful magic-wielder known as a Vestige. As she sets out to rescue her brother from a ruthless empire, she’s joined by Abram Finlay, a scholar burdened by secrets from his past. Together, they uncover a conspiracy that threatens to plunge the world of Aema back into conflict.
The game blends intense sword-and-magic combat with traversal, puzzle-solving, and character-driven storytelling. Players will harness Ryn’s growing abilities—including destruction, gravity manipulation, and illusion magic—while engaging in fast-paced battles and exploring breathtaking volcanic plains, icy mountain ridges, and ancient ruins.
Echoes of the End’s combat emphasizes synergy between Ryn and Abram, encouraging combo attacks and cooperative traversal. Meanwhile, puzzle-solving mechanics evolve with Ryn’s powers throughout each chapter, introducing increasingly complex environmental challenges.
With lifelike motion-captured performances, detailed character models, and highly cinematic visuals, Echoes of the End aims to offer players a grounded yet magical fantasy experience rooted in emotion, sacrifice, and discovery.
