Nintendo Announces 3D Adventure Kirby and the World Beyond for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has announced Kirby and the World Beyond, a new 3D action-adventure game scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027. Developed by HAL Laboratory, the title serves as the next major 3D entry in the franchise following Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Kirby and the World Beyond expands the series’ 3D platforming into a open-ended world where Kirby utilizes powered-up copy abilities to explore environments and solve traversal puzzles. Players can launch through the air with bomb jumps, climb trees by anchoring sword abilities, and sprint across large fields. Narrative details focus on Kirby rescuing a mysterious girl with unknown powers from King Dedede, leading the pair to investigate a massive wall enclosing their world and uncover what lies beyond it.
