Developer Auroch Digital and publisher Big Fan Games have released a new trailer for retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, confirming an October 14 release date for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The teams also announced that a Nintendo Switch 2 version is currently in development and will launch shortly after the primary platform release.

The new trailer offers a first look at the main antagonist, Vashtorr the Arkifane – a daemonic demigod of engineers, scientists, and inventors – accompanied by a guest track composed by Mick Gordon. The narrative follows returning Ultramarine Malum Caedo alongside Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath as they travel to an isolated star system following reports of Chaos activity. After Vashtorr awakens a massive daemonic machine at the center of the planet and decimates the Imperial fleet, the duo must travel across multiple worlds to banish the demigod back to the Warp.
Building on the retro boomer-shooter gameplay of the original, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 introduces an expanded arsenal alongside new Chaos threats, including Nurgle Cultists, Bloodletters, and Juggernauts.
