Independent studio Rebellion has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming first-person action-horror title Alien Deathstorm, coinciding with the game’s first playable debut on the Gamescom show floor.

Set within a devastated off-world colony, the story follows an isolated Engineer who arrives on what was intended to be a rescue mission, only to find the facility ravaged by a planetary mega-storm and overrun by swarms of predatory aliens. Players must navigate escalating environmental hazards caused by the ongoing storm while utilizing survival skills and firepower to uncover what destroyed the facility.
At Gamescom, attendees can sample the game’s Reactor mission, where the Engineer must fight through an alien onslaught inside a malfunctioning fission reactor to retrieve a crucial Fission Initiator.
Alien Deathstorm is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, and Xbox on PC, with a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
