Insomniac Games, in collaboration with Marvel Games, has released an extended seven-minute gameplay trailer for the single-player action-adventure title Marvel’s Wolverine. Alongside the mechanical breakdown, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the game will launch on September 15, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 at a standard price of $69.99 USD. Pre-orders have officially opened across digital and physical retail channels.

The premise follows James “Logan” Howlett rejoining Team X, a last-stand mutant task force, three years after his departure. Logan is hunting a cybernetic mercenary militia known as the Reavers, who are capturing mutants on behalf of billionaire industrialist Bolivar Trask. The narrative features Jean Grey, a prominent telekinetic mutant leader, who joins Logan during active combat encounters. Gameplay showcases a fast and aggressive close-quarters combat engine where players can leverage standard claw strikes alongside special Techniques like the Tornado Spin and Bull Rush. Jean Grey’s telekinetics also set up multi-character Critical Strikes to execute high-damage finishing moves.
Defensive precision and offensive successes accumulate Logan’s Rage meter, which triggers amplified damage or activates his signature Healing Factor to mend grievous bodily harm. Pushing this meter to its limit unlocks Rage Tier 3, a stylized monochromatic visual mode inspired by classic comic runs. High-octane vehicular set pieces, such as highway motorcycle pursuits, are also integrated into the pacing.
Insomniac Games confirmed that a comprehensive suite of cognitive, visual, auditory, and motor accessibility features will be available natively at launch. A higher-tier Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99 USD) is also available, offering early gameplay technique points alongside purely cosmetic variant suits and claw models.
