The open-world cooperative town-building adventure game ANIMALKIND will launch in Early Access on March 30 for PC via Steam, developer Uncommon Games has announced. The upcoming Early Access release will allow players to begin exploring the game’s world while the studio continues expanding the experience with community feedback.

According to Uncommon Games, the Early Access launch is intended to give players an opportunity to step into the game’s cozy multiplayer world while development continues. The studio plans to build on the foundation with additional areas to explore, new characters to encounter, and more creative tools for players to shape their towns and adventures.
In ANIMALKIND, players take control of adorable animal heroes navigating a vibrant wilderness using ancient mech suits. Set in a colorful post-apocalyptic world often described as “post-paw-calyptic”, the game blends exploration, resource gathering, and community-building as players gradually establish a thriving settlement.
Whether played solo or with up to three friends in online cooperative play, the experience revolves around exploring diverse environments, collecting resources, and recruiting friendly animal residents to help grow a town. As the settlement expands, players can build homes, design pathways, and cultivate gardens while shaping the layout of their growing community.
Players can choose from several animal characters including a corgi, a tuxedo cat, or a raccoon, each brought to life with unique animations and customization options. Their mech suits serve as essential tools for exploring the world, harvesting materials, crafting equipment, and constructing buildings that will support the town’s development.
Beyond the settlement itself, players will travel across dynamic wilderness regions filled with different biomes, new resources, and potential companions. These areas evolve over time and offer opportunities to discover new characters, gather valuable materials, and expand the community back home.
