Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Announced for March 2027 Launch Alongside Limited-Time Alpha Demo

Publisher KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA have officially revealed the release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. The dark fantasy action RPG sequel is set for release on March 4, 2027. Launching across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, as well as day one on Xbox Game Pass, the title is accompanied by a limited-time Alpha Demo available from today through September 30, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Set in China in 208 AD following the events of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the narrative centers on the protagonist and strategist Pang Tong joining forces with Liu Bei and Sun Quan to resist Cao Cao’s invading forces amidst a demon-infested war. Gameplay expands upon its predecessor’s deflect-heavy action with open-field exploration across historic battlefields like Changban and the Red Cliffs. Combat updates introduce evasive Insight Skills and terrain-based counterattacks alongside expanded morale management, recruitable enemy officers, and online co-op multiplayer. Players who complete the limited-time demo will unlock the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for the full game upon release.
