DaRmaZat Publisher Square Enix has officially announced Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, a full 3D remake of the classic 1995 Super Famicom JRPG. The game will launch on February 16, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United reimagines the original adventure with modern 3D graphics inspired by Tomomi Kobayashi’s classic character art, fully voiced cutscenes in English and Japanese, and re-arranged BGM supervised by original composer Kenji Ito. Set nearly two decades after the apocalyptic Rise of Morastrum, players select one of eight central heroes to stop the Four Sinistrals from opening the Abyss Gates.
Gameplay retains the series’ non-linear Freeform Scenario System, while introducing a timeline-based battle system with new United Attacks alongside returning franchise mechanics like Glimmering and formations. Additional features include War Mode and Business minigames, adjustable difficulty options, and a toggle between original and updated BGM tracks.
