Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Unveils Most Wanted Roguelike Mode Featuring Playable Jin Sakai

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions have released a trailer for Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, introducing Most Wanted – a single-player combat survival mode coming to PlayStation 5 on October 1, 2026. The highlight of the update is the return of Ghost of Tsushima protagonist Jin Sakai as a playable character alongside original cast members.

Most Wanted functions as a roguelike survival mode where players take on bounties against the Yōtei Six, fighting through waves of enemies and minibosses to claim upgrades. Each run offers perk selections – such as weapon mastery, summons, gear loadouts, and parry enhancements – allowing players to build out temporary strategies before facing final target encounters like Lord Saito. Outside of active runs, earned currency buys permanent technique upgrades, weapon improvements, charms, and cosmetics usable in the main campaign and the upcoming Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion.

The mode features four playable characters with distinct arsenals and ultimate abilities. Atsu utilizes dual katanas alongside blinding powder, smoke bombs, wolf summons, and terrifying kill streaks. Oyuki fights using a kusarigama, kunai, tanegashima rifle, and shadow assassination techniques. Nagato wields a yari spear, pistol, and bows paired with explosive trick shots. Jin Sakai arrives with upgraded visuals, retaining his four original combat stances, sticky bombs, his signature Dance of Wrath ultimate, and Ghost Stance.

Existing Ghost of Yōtei owners can purchase the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99, while new players can buy the full package digitally for $69.99 or physically upon its October 1 launch. A free base game update will also release on October 1, adding the photo-focused Beauty of Yōtei mode, extra music tracks for Watanabe Mode, armor appearance transmog, and new accessibility settings.
