Fairy Tale-Inspired Action-Adventure Rise of the Spellbaker Announced

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have announced Rise of the Spellbaker, a fairy tale-inspired action-adventure title coming in 2027.

Set in the magical realm of Khemia, the story centers on a solitary witch who finds herself as the apparent sole survivor after a foul, rot-inducing plague corrupts the land and ruins the annual Witches’ Harvest Festival. Combat revolves around the forgotten art of “spellbaking”, where ingredients are collected and baked into offensive pastries such as the Crescent Wave or Shortcrust Grenade.

Accompanied by a loyal cat familiar, a talking sourdough named Hermann, and little flour creatures called Biscies, the journey includes rebuilding a safe-haven village and restoring the ruined home. Additionally, the experience supports a co-op mode for up to six participants to tackle the Rot together.

The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
