Publisher NetEase Games and developer 24 Entertainment Lin’an have released a three-minute story trailer and a nineteen-minute gameplay walkthrough trailer for their upcoming cinematic, single-player, linear story-driven action-adventure game Blood Message. The title is currently confirmed for PC.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and enhanced with the studio’s own proprietary tools and technologies, Blood Message stands as NetEase Games’ first AAA single-player project. The newly released trailer provides a brief glimpse into the game’s backstory while introducing dynamic combat mechanics across a variety of settings. The overarching experience aims to blend brutal survival combat with profound Eastern storytelling.
The game is set in the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD, a cultural landmark of Chinese history that frames the narrative with the rich customs, culture, and history of the era. Players take on the role of a nameless messenger who embarks on a perilous eastward journey alongside his son. Together, they must endure a treacherous 1,000-mile odyssey and survive relentless enemy sieges against impossible odds.
Their ultimate goal is to return to the heart of the Tang Dynasty: the city of Chang’an. Players will navigate lethal, expansive landscapes inspired by the diverse terrains of East and Central Asia – such as Dunhuang – including desolate deserts and vast wildernesses. Amidst these harsh environments, the narrative explores a deeply emotional journey anchored by core themes of family, honor, sacrifice, and cultural identity.
