Two-person indie developer Studio Arkos has officially locked in the final launch date for A Lost Man, confirming that the psychological point-and-click adventure will see its full digital release on Steam on June 26, 2026. The announcement follows the game’s inclusion in the upcoming Steam Next Fest line-up, which runs from June 15 through June 22. A playable demo is already available on Steam ahead of the game’s official release.

Set deep in the nocturnal shadows of 1916, A Lost Man‘s narrative follows a desperate soldier who deserts his post to escape the brutal meat grinder of the Western Front trenches. Stranded in a shifting no-man’s-land between two heavily armed front lines, you must guide the fugitive through a ghostly, desolate countryside. As you navigate these clammy, war-torn environments, your journey will cross paths with highly unusual, ambiguous characters while facing unexpected bursts of physical violence and surreal, mystical surges operating on the fringes of the Great War.
Mechanically, A Lost Man stays true to classic point-and-click frameworks, requiring you to carefully examine your surroundings, gather hidden clues, decipher discovered documents, and combine items within your inventory to overcome complex logic puzzles.
The game’s defining feature is its distinct visual presentation: every background, character sprite, and environmental asset has been fully hand-drawn on paper before being digitally mastered. Originally penned in French and fully translated into English, the title natively supports a crisp 2K baseline resolution alongside specialized ultrawide monitor configurations.
For those who want to try the game early, a playable demo is already available on Steam ahead of its official release.
