Co-publishers Konami and Annapurna Interactive, alongside developer Screen Burn Interactive, have announced that Silent Hill: Townfall will officially launch on September 24, 2026. The psychological horror title is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via both Steam and Epic Games Store.

The narrative-driven game follows a protagonist named Simon as he navigates the unsettling, unfamiliar island location of St. Amelia. A newly released trailer introduces Zoe, a local family clinic nurse whose voice was previously teased in earlier broadcasts, who cryptically questions Simon’s presence on the island.
Townfall‘s gameplay mechanics place a heavy emphasis on narrative-driven puzzles designed to intertwine directly with world-building and lore revelations rather than serving as isolated gameplay layers. Survival also demands careful environmental navigation; players must utilize a specialized “peek mechanic” and a portable CRTV device to monitor incoming anomalies. While some otherworldly creatures can be engaged via combat, other elite threats require absolute evasion, triggering intense chase sequences if Simon is detected.
The developers have also integrated tailored platform features specifically for the PlayStation 5 hardware. The game utilizes the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers to simulate firearm resistance, while haptic feedback translates environmental tension, such as the heavy footsteps of approaching monsters. Tactile motion controls are also utilized, requiring players to physically twist the controller to fine-tune the CRTV device when intercepting weak signals.
Pre-orders are currently live, featuring a Standard Edition ($49.99 USD) with platform-exclusive cosmetic bonuses and a Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99 USD) that bundles a digital art book, a mini-soundtrack, and 48 hours of early access.
