Publisher Ubisoft and co-developers Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan have announced Rayman Legends Retold, a complete reimagining of the acclaimed side-scrolling platformer. The title is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Digital and physical pre-orders have officially opened across multiple retail editions.
Update – September 14, 2026: Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed to December 3, 2026.

The base package includes a full copy of the main game alongside Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. The reimagined title updates the franchise’s visual presentation and expands upon the original content by adding a mysterious sixth gameplay realm and four brand-new musical rhythm stages.
Players will also encounter new gameplay mechanics, such as dedicated dragon-riding sequences and a specialized Cave of Trials designed to test high-level platforming skills. The narrative framework introduces a brand-new underworld antagonist disrupting the Glade of Dreams, utilizing fully voiced cinematics and an expanded original soundtrack composed by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.
Multiplayer functionality remains a core pillar, supporting up to four-player local couch cooperative play across the entirety of the campaign. The arcade mini-game Kung Foot also returns, featuring updated physics controls, new casual power-ups, and fully customizable tournament rulesets.
Ubisoft is offering a Standard Edition ($39.99 USD) paired with a pre-order Hoodlum Havoc cosmetic costume pack, alongside a Deluxe Edition ($49.99 USD) that bundles an digital art gallery and a 1995-inspired Retro Pack skin suite.
