At DHXP 2026, Digital Happiness moved beyond basic combat mechanics to reveal a deeper look at Broomstick Exorcist. The 2.5D manga-style beat ’em up is set to launch for PC via Steam, with a release date yet to be announced.

In Broomstick Exorcist, Vikka serves as the central figure – an insomniac street sweeper who cleanses the city of restless spirits after dark. Using her trusty broomstick and unlockable skill trees, she chains together precise combos against eccentric enemies like Long-Heads and the Flying Mistress. When battles reach a fever pitch, the Henshin mechanic allows her to channel a spiritual double known as a Qareen, transforming into a far more fierce and powerful version of herself.
Departing from the realistic horror of the DreadOut series, this project utilizes a striking monochromatic, hand-drawn manga aesthetic. The world feels like a living black-and-white comic book, rooted heavily in Indonesian folklore and Asian urban myths. Digital Happiness has integrated these supernatural themes into a stylish beat-em-up format that balances eerie atmosphere with high-energy brawling.
This latest footage connects the narrative flow with the game’s unique 2.5D action, illustrating how the story pulls protagonist Vikka deeper into the supernatural night.
