First-person psychological horror title The Event officially launches on October 3, 2026 on PC via Steam, developed and published by Lazy Games. A playable demo remains available on Steam ahead of release.
Update – July 1, 2026: Lazy Games has officially confirmed that The Event will launch in September 2026.

Inside The Event, the story begins in an abandoned asylum where memory loss frames every step forward. Clues, scattered notes, and fragmented testimonies gradually shape a narrative built around uncertainty, while the setting shifts between silence and sudden disturbance as the truth behind the facility starts to surface.
Gameplay centers on survival without direct confrontation, as no weapons are available and movement relies on hiding or escaping rather than fighting. A guiding internal presence accompanies progression through the asylum, offering reflective thoughts that can be consulted when interacting with objects and uncovering new leads. Rather than revealing answers outright, the structure pushes reconstruction of events through exploration, with unpredictable encounters shaping each passage through the dark corridors.
Lazy Games developed the project entirely as a solo effort, with full Italian language support already implemented and additional localization for Spanish, Russian, and Chinese planned before launch.
