With more than 350,000 wishlists on Steam, making it one of the most wishlisted titles within its category.
The first public demo for open-world country-life simulation game The Ranchers is now available on PC via Steam, developer Ethan and publisher Trophy Games announced. The demo arrives ahead of the game’s planned Early Access release in Q2 2026.

The Ranchers is described as an open-world life simulation experience that blends farming, ranch management, city activities, and cooperative multiplayer. According to the developer, the game has accumulated more than 350,000 wishlists on Steam, making it one of the most wishlisted titles within its category.
The newly released demo offers approximately 1.5 hours of gameplay. You can begin building and expanding your homestead, explore the City of Sunvale on foot, bicycle, or by car, and take on early story quests while meeting several of the town’s residents.
Inspired by farming and life-simulation mechanics, The Ranchers incorporates open-world exploration, crafting systems, animal raising, crop cultivation, and home construction. The game also supports cooperative play for up to four players. In addition to rural activities, you can venture into mines, encounter hostile creatures, and pursue relationships with non-playable characters.
The demo will remain available through Steam Next Fest. The full game is scheduled to enter Early Access in Q2 2026.
