DaRmaZat Roguelite arcade game BALL x PIT, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, introduces The Regal Update, its first major free content drop. Developed and published by Kenny Sun and Friends, the update significantly expands the million-selling ball-fusing action game with new playable characters, additional ball types, and an entirely new mode.
The Regal Update introduces two new characters that alter how each run unfolds. One focuses on wide, sweeping projectile patterns enabled by paired aerial companions, while the other manipulates ball trajectories through a localized gravity effect, allowing shots to bend away from their expected paths. These additions reinforce the game’s emphasis on experimentation and unpredictable outcomes during each descent into the pit.
Alongside the new characters, the update adds eight new ball types that emphasize varied risk-and-reward dynamics. Some emphasize raw impact power that degrades over time, while others trigger chain reactions or persistent area damage, further expanding the number of viable builds players can pursue as difficulty escalates.
A major highlight of the update is the arrival of Endless Mode, a long-requested feature that unlocks after completing the main game. This mode allows players to continue pushing through areas indefinitely after defeating a boss, escalating the challenge as long as survival is maintained, offering a new way to test high-level builds and mastery.
