Techland has delayed Dying Light: The Beast from its previously scheduled August 22 release date to September 19, citing the need for additional polish. The open-world action survival game will launch on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Update 09/12: Dying Light: The Beast has been officially pushed one day ahead, now releasing for all aforementioned platforms on September 18!

Players who own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human will receive The Beast at no extra cost. The developer shared the following message:
“With over 150 positive previews from media and creators, we’re proud of what we’ve built—but we want to make it even better. The delay allows us to fine-tune balance, improve UI clarity, polish cutscenes and animations, and address final physics improvements,” Techland said.
“We know waiting isn’t easy, but we’re confident the extra four weeks will be worth it.”
A playable demo will be available at Gamescom 2025 in Hall 6, with regular updates planned throughout the summer.
