DaRmaZat Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have opened sign-ups for the first closed beta of Rise of the Spellbaker, their upcoming fairy tale-inspired action-adventure set in the corrupted realm of Khemia.
Playing as the solitary Witch, you wield the forgotten art of spellbaking to defeat a foul, rot-inducing plague using offensive pastries like Crescent Waves and Shortcrust Grenades. Joined by a talking sourdough starter, a loyal cat familiar, and tiny flour creatures called Biscies, you gather ingredients, restore your safe-haven village, and take on corrupting forces either solo or in six-player online co-op. Selected beta participants gain early access to the opening hours on Steam for Windows 11, with player feedback directly shaping development.
Rise of the Spellbaker launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
