Retro-inspired survival horror title LIMINAL POINT will launch in 2027, with development expanding to include console platforms alongside its initial PC release.
HideWorks, the two-person studio working on the title, detailed that the extended timeline allows for feature additions – such as control remapping, expanded crafting systems, and new enemy variants – as well as the UI and certification work required for a multiplatform launch.
LIMINAL POINT is a psychological survival horror game presented from a striking isometric perspective. Following protagonist Lyra, a rock star drawn to a fog-shrouded island by a cryptic voicemail, players explore abandoned mansions, hospitals, and sewers to uncover the truth behind her bandmate’s tragic disappearance. Drawing inspiration from classic survival horror, the title emphasizes resource management, inventory conservation, environmental puzzle-solving, and inventory navigation against surreal creatures.
LIMINAL POINT is in development for consoles and PC via Steam, now targeting a 2027 release.
