Publisher Starry Dome and developer Studio Surgical Scalpels have announced The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon, a third-person narrative action shooter based on the science fiction works of Liu Cixin. The title is currently in development for PC via Steam, with a release window yet to be announced.

Set during the 46th year of the Stop Cycle Era, the game takes place during the Full-Moon Window, the final stage of humanity’s 2,500-year plan to stop Earth’s rotation and move the planet away from an expanding sun. The United Government is preparing to ignite twelve massive lunar engines and push the Moon out of Earth’s orbit, but a crisis is already unfolding on the lunar surface.
You’ll explore low-gravity battlefields on the Moon and outer space environments while using specialized spacesuits, mechanical exoskeletons, and sci-fi vehicles to fight hostile forces. The game also leans heavily into hard sci-fi industrial architecture, with massive structures such as planetary engines and generation ships forming the backdrop for terrain-based combat.
The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon is coming to PC via Steam.
