Following more than 11,000 sign-ups on Steam, developer Clockwork Acorn has officially launched the initial playtest phase for Feather’s Edge, its upcoming momentum-focused 2D Metroidvania. The studio has begun distributing invitations in waves to let players test a curated slice of gameplay. Players who have not yet requested access can still sign up directly via the “Request Access” button on the game’s Steam store page before registration closes.

Feather’s Edge is a fast-paced action-platformer set inside the crumbling Tower of Time, where unstable biomes such as frozen tundras and overgrown ruins collide through temporal rifts. You play as Upu, a Hoopoe warrior who uses high-speed dashes, aerial movement, and precise combat to climb the tower. Momentum is key during the short, intense encounters, while repeatable micro-challenge rifts scattered throughout the tower give you a chance to practice movement and combat in changing environments.
Feather’s Edge is currently in development for PC via Steam, with a release date yet to be announced.
