Simone Developer and publisher The Game Bakers has announced that Cairn, its survival-climbing adventure game, will release on Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. A playable demo is available immediately on the platform ahead of launch.
Released on PlayStation 5 and PC in January 2026, Cairn puts you in control of seasoned mountaineer Aava as she attempts the first recorded ascent of deadly Mount Kami. You can choose your own route up the mountain while managing stamina, food and water, and setting up bivouacs along the way. As Aava climbs higher, she encounters the remains of previous expeditions and uncovers the history of an ancient culture.
Cairn will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027, with a playable demo available now on the platform. The title is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, the latter of which we reviewed earlier this year.
