DaRmaZat Developer ITEM42 has released a new playable demo for DEFICIT, an upcoming single-player sci-fi action sim currently in development for PC via Steam.
Set within Project Sidereal – a research complex built into the concrete structures of Hadrian’s Wall – DEFICIT casts players as Carrie, a corporate espionage freelancer tasked by an enigmatic benefactor known as The Client to steal a reality-altering prototype device called the Interpolator.
The newly released demo showcases the title’s close-quarters combat, stealth infiltration, and environmental interactivity, allowing players to turn security systems against guards or open wormholes to alternate dimensions to traverse impassable areas.
A release date for DEFICIT has yet to be announced.
