Wardens of Avalon Gets New Gameplay Footage Ahead of 2027 PC Launch

Developer Runes Studio and publisher The Arcade Crew have released new gameplay footage for Wardens of Avalon, an upcoming top-down action RPG coming to PC via Steam in 2027.

Set in a fallen version of Arthurian legend, the game follows a Twilight Knight trying to reclaim a realm overrun by corruption after the Knights of the Round Table have fallen. You’ll head out from your keep into handcrafted dungeons, fighting corrupted beasts and mythical bosses while gathering resources to strengthen your base.

Back at the keep, those resources can be used to expand new districts and build workshops for blacksmiths, druids, herborists, and apothecaries. These let you craft better gear and build up your defenses as you take on tougher threats. There are no fixed classes, allowing you to switch oaths, change your build, and customize equipment with spell runes depending on what you’re up against.

Wardens of Avalon is scheduled to launch on PC in 2027. The full campaign will be playable solo or with up to four players in online co-op.
