A reveal trailer for Stranded Deep 2 has arrived, showing off a major shift in setting for the survival sandbox sequel from North Beach Games.

Instead of surviving out on open ocean islands, players navigate an endless river system carving through a harsh desert landscape of canyons, dunes, and valleys. The main gameplay loop focuses on traveling down the river via raft or kayak, gathering resources, and managing survival meters like health, hunger, thirst, and environmental exposure. A standout feature is the ability to construct mobile bases directly on the water, allowing you to pack up your floating home and head further downstream or set up camp along the banks.
The title also introduces dynamic terrain manipulation, a living animal food chain, modular crafting options for tools and structures, and a revamped Cartographer editor to build and share custom maps.
Stranded Deep 2 is heading to PC via Steam in Early Access, with a full release window yet to be confirmed.
