After six years in development, solo developer Brad Warren of Magic Puncher Games has announced that Sunken Realms, a focused ARPG dungeon crawler with rogue-lite elements, will release on Steam on September 18, 2026.

The narrative follows Alric, an adventurer who ventures into Aedaria – a cursed underground city that fell into darkness decades ago after incurring the wrath of the gods. Searching for the truth behind his father’s disappearance years prior, Alric must delve into the ruins to uncover what lies within.
Gameplay in Sunken Realms centers on exploring 109 hand-crafted rooms spread across six distinct sections, which procedurally rearrange with each run. Between dives, players return to a surface camp to craft weapons and armor, brew potions, cook food, and upgrade character stats at the Soul Forge before descending deeper at higher difficulty levels.
Alongside the release date announcement, a new trailer has debuted.
