Tactical Roguelite Ex Sanguis Launches in Early Access September 10

Developer Lightbulb Crew – the studio behind Othercide – has announced that its blood-soaked tactical roguelite Ex Sanguis will launch in Early Access via Steam on September 10, 2026. The announcement is accompanied by a new gameplay trailer and the return of the game’s playable demo as part of Six One Indie Demo Days.

Set in a dying world where blood serves as an act of defiance, players command elite warriors known as the Stillae against the forces of Stasis. Rendered in a high-contrast black-and-white visual style painted in crimson blood, the game features turn-based tactical combat focused on timeline manipulation. Players can accelerate, delay, or swap combatants’ turn orders to set up powerful attack chains.

The game incorporates grid-based positional mechanics, including knock-backs, flanking bonuses, environmental hazards, and directional advantages similar to classic XCOM-style titles.
