Simone Epic Games Publishing and developer Section 9 Interactive have officially announced that End of Abyss will launch on October 1, 2026. The atmospheric, science-fiction action-adventure game is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
Set within the dark, crushing depths of a sprawling underground complex, End of Abyss follows a high-stakes investigation into a series of mysterious disturbances. The mission quickly spirals out of control, forcing you into a harrowing descent through an abandoned, broken world. You take on the role of Cel, a young combat technician tasked with uncovering the grim truth behind the facility’s derelict corridors while defending yourself against the monstrous, non-human entities that now claim the area.
Gameplay in End of Abyss heavily emphasizes deep exploration and tense, tactical combat. To survive against the twisted horrors roaming the facility, you must constantly upgrade Cel’s gear, adapt your strategy, and push your limits under intense pressure. Exploration is driven by an investigative scanner and an arsenal of unlockable tools, allowing you to navigate branching pathways. As Cel grows stronger and acquires new abilities, you can backtrack to previously sealed-off areas to uncover hidden secrets and open up long-forgotten corridors.
