Taiwanese developer Cup Dog Games has announced that Rubinite, its 2D pixel art boss rush action game, is set to launch for PC via Steam on July 23. Ahead of the release, the title is playable at the G-Eight booth during the BitSummit PUNCH event in Kyoto, Japan, which runs from May 22 to 24.

Rubinite‘s gameplay revolves around a core mechanic called Focus, requiring players to study enemy movements to identify weak points and deliver precise, critical strikes.
The narrative follows Ruby, a princess who escapes the Scarlet Kingdom and embarks on a quest for revenge to reclaim her homeland. In her absence, a Witch has corrupted the realm to manufacture Pureblood Crystals, transforming living creatures into monstrous entities known as the Bloodstained.
As the only one capable of perceiving the hidden crystals within these bosses, Ruby must confront a series of threats, including ancient cults and undead entities. Defeating these opponents allows her to absorb their power to enhance her abilities and craft diverse talismans, enabling players to customize their combat style for subsequent encounters.
