Simone Developer The Game Bakers has announced On the Trail – Deep Water, the first free DLC for its critically acclaimed survival climbing game Cairn, set to launch in Summer 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Following a strong release earlier this year—with high review scores and over half a million copies sold—Cairn will expand with new content that introduces three additional climbing areas and the new “water soloing” mechanic, allowing players to scale routes above water without the usual risk of fatal falls.
The DLC is part of a broader series that will follow the journey of a Aava, a legendary climber, adding fresh challenges and locations to the game’s immersive climbing experience.
