CALX, the atmospheric 3D action-adventure from Italian studio True Colors and publisher Dear Villagers, will launch for PC via Steam on June 4, 2026, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch versions planned for later in 2026. The announcement was made during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase. A playable demo is available on Steam now.
Update – September 25, 2026: True Colors and Dear Villagers have delayed CALX, which is now scheduled to launch on January 21, 2027.

In CALX, players explore the alien planet Syro, a world inspired by the art style of Moebius. On a solitary journey, players must investigate and combat a mysterious corruption known as the WARP, which has begun to consume the planet. Along the way, they will traverse vibrant crystal landscapes, ancient ruins, and remnants of a lost civilization.
Movement and traversal are core to the experience. As players progress, they unlock new mobility abilities that enhance both exploration and combat, enabling them to navigate Syro’s diverse environments and confront the hostile forces reshaping the planet.
The experience is supported by an evolving IDM soundtrack composed by Matteo Ferrante, inspired by artists like Aphex Twin. The music dynamically adapts to exploration and combat, reinforcing the game’s melancholic and immersive sci-fi atmosphere.
According to game and narrative designer Gabriele Ferreccio, the team aimed to capture the feeling of isolation and discovery found in classic exploration-driven titles. The developers sought to align gameplay, art, and music to create a cohesive journey across Syro’s strange and beautiful landscapes.
CALX launches June 4 on PC, with console versions planned for later in 2026.
