A newly released cinematic video for the action-adventure game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight offers a closer look at one of its standout moments, recreating the iconic Gotham City museum scene from the 1989 DC film Batman. The game is set to launch on May 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for a later date.

Unveiled by Warner Bros. Games and DC, the new video reimagines The Joker’s chaotic museum takeover in LEGO form, complete with exaggerated slapstick, visual gags, and a faithful nod to the original film’s tone. The scene is set to “Partyman” by Prince, reinforcing the connection to the classic movie while translating it into the playful LEGO aesthetic.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, developed by TT Games, follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from his early origins to his rise as Gotham’s legendary protector. The story-driven campaign draws inspiration from decades of Batman films, television series, comics, and games, blending established DC lore with the signature humor and accessibility the LEGO series is known for.
In addition to the newly highlighted cinematic moment, the game is currently available for pre-order across its confirmed platforms. Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive early access starting May 26, 2026, while all pre-orders will include a bonus Batsuit inspired by The Dark Knight Returns. Additional cosmetic unlocks are planned at launch, with further details on the Nintendo Switch 2 version to be announced at a later time.
