Bandai Namco has released a new character trailer for action RPG Code Vein II, spotlighting Valentin Voda, a key figure tied to the Progenitor’s bloodline, ahead of the game’s launch on January 30, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The trailer introduces Valentin Voda as a calm yet resolute pioneer who openly questions the long-standing obsession with bloodline and ancestry that defines much of the world of Code Vein II. Her composed presence and ideology suggest a character who challenges tradition from within, hinting at deeper narrative conflicts surrounding legacy, power, and identity as the story unfolds.
In Code Vein II, players follow the Revenant Hunter alongside Lou, a mysterious girl with the ability to rewrite history itself. Their journey takes them across fractured timelines, revisiting pivotal moments in an attempt to prevent the rise of the Luna Rapacis, a corrupting force that transforms Revenants into monstrous Horrors. The narrative leans heavily into moral tension, raising the question of whether saving the world inevitably comes at the cost of further sacrifice.
Building on the foundations of its predecessor, Code Vein II expands its anime-inspired presentation and intense action combat with refined blood-draining mechanics and deeper weapon customization through the new Jail system. The flexible Blood Code system returns, allowing players to tailor their builds to different playstyles, while partner characters once again play a central role, influencing both combat strategies and story outcomes through their unique abilities and personal arcs.
Pre-orders for Code Vein II are now available in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions. The Ultimate edition includes early access, a legacy costume set inspired by the original Code Vein, and exclusive digital bonuses such as an artbook and soundtrack. With its mix of fast-paced combat, dark fantasy storytelling, and emotionally driven themes, the sequel is shaping up as a significant evolution of the series ahead of its early 2026 release.
