The action player-versus-player-versus-environment extraction RPG Eldegarde will leave Early Access and fully launch on January 21, 2026 for PC via Steam, developer Notorious Studios announced.

Previously known as Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, the game first entered Early Access in February 2025 and has since evolved into a refined fantasy extraction experience focused on high-stakes combat and progression-driven expeditions. Ahead of its full release, the current Early Access version remains available at a 20 percent discount until January 5, 2026 as part of the Steam Winter Sale.
Set in a dangerous fantasy world where every encounter carries risk, Eldegarde combines third-person action combat with PvPvE extraction mechanics. Players venture out alone or in small groups to hunt for treasure, grow stronger, and escape with their loot intact, knowing that defeat can mean losing everything earned during a run. Combat is built specifically for competitive encounters, emphasizing precision, timing, and fast decision-making to gain the upper hand against both enemies and rival players.
Between expeditions, players return to a fortified city that serves as a hub for preparation and recovery. Here, equipment can be upgraded, supplies restocked, and characters readied for the next outing. Progression extends beyond gear, with character leveling unlocking new abilities and traits, while interactions with vendors and the environment itself play a meaningful role in shaping each adventure. With its transition out of Early Access, Eldegarde aims to deliver a more complete and polished take on fantasy extraction RPG design.
