The eerie Cold War puzzle-platformer NODE: The Last Favor of the Antarii is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, publisher Beep Japan and developer Lapsus Games have confirmed. It will release alongside the previously announced PC version via Steam. A final launch date has yet to be announced.

Set deep within the irradiated ruins of a Soviet nuclear facility, NODE casts players as an autonomous AI tasked with navigating a decaying, timeline-bound labyrinth. The game’s 2.5D design fuses side-scrolling puzzle mechanics with sci-fi storytelling—infused with espionage paranoia and cosmic unease.
Through precision-based command sequencing, players plan and execute their every move across an interactive timeline. Success depends not on twitch reflexes, but careful strategy, allowing each retry to feel like a data-driven refinement rather than simple failure.
Visually, NODE straddles the line between realism and surrealism. Cold War industrial design meets otherworldly distortions, with haunting lighting, ambient sound, and shifting architecture pulling players deeper into its reactive environments.
Dialogue and story progression are likewise systemic. Every conversation is tracked, every choice is stored—resulting in a branching narrative that responds to the player’s behavior in ways that may not be obvious until much later. The more you explore, the more NODE reveals: optional paths, cryptic detours, and quietly embedded secrets all contribute to an atmosphere of surveillance, mystery, and existential tension.
With no firm release date yet, NODE: The Last Favor of the Antarii is shaping up to be one of the more conceptually ambitious platformers of the year—especially for fans of narrative-driven exploration and puzzle design.
